About us

Wild Woodlanders is run by Heather and Charlotte, two people passionate about getting children out doors and enjoying the natural world around them whilst learning new skills. Our aim is to offer primary aged children a chance to explore nature in a relaxed child-led session, allowing them to learn play and explore whilst taking calculated risks in a safe and friendly environment.

Children are encouraged to explore the forest school area as they please. They may choose to cook us some delicious mud dinners, go on a bug hunt, build a fairy house, make some natural crafts or relax in our hammock. All while developing many attributes such as social skills, fine and gross motor technique, language skills and develop their emotional well being.

We run holiday clubs from a number of schools  in the local area surrounding Edlesborough. Often from Brookemead School, Pitstone and Eaton Bray Academy, Eaton Bray.  We also provide a number of themed birthday parties.

Heather and Charlotte met whilst they were working at a school and discovered they shared a passion for outdoor learning. Both are qualified level three Forest  School leaders. Charlotte holds a higher teaching assistant qualification and Heather holds a degree in Animal Science and has level two childcare qualifications.

Wild Woodlanders is fully insured and all sessions are run with at least one person qualified in paediatric first aid.
